The Pignasecca room takes its name from the picturesque little market of the same name located just behind the Spanish quarters where in the 1500s following the construction of Via Toledo only the dry trunk of a Pine Tree, referred to in Neapolitan as the "Pigna," was left behind. The Pignasecca is the oldest, most atmospheric and folkloric market in the Neapolitan City with multicolored mixtures of stalls selling fish, vegetables, fried foods and typical sweets to be eaten strictly on the street.
A thousand colors of "Pignasecca" are fully represented by the "nuances" with which the walls and furnishings of the room itself are covered. Also in "Pignasecca," the vibrancy of colors is offset by some black and white photographs of the famous Neapolitan photographer "Antonio Aragona" taken from the exhibition "inconsolable shots." The room consists of two functional spaces: a relaxation area with a sofa, work desk and TV, and a rest area with a king-size bed and exposed coat rack
The two areas are separated by structure made of iron and wood that serves as the headboard of the bed on one side and the back of the sofa on the other
Nothing is left to chance and every detail is taken care of
The room has a private bathroom equipped with a large shower, vase, bidet and hair dryer, king-size bed, small balcony equipped with seating and small table, air conditioning, safe, wifi and flat-screen TV
